HP LaserJet 3200 and 3300mfp All-in-One Series Products - How to Disable the HP LaserJet Director
ISSUE:
How to prevent the LaserJet Director program from starting up each time the computer is restarted.
SOLUTION:
Perform the following steps:
Disable LaserJet Director
Windows 95/NT 4.0/2000
Right-click Start
and select Open All Users
in the drop-down menu.
Double-click the Programs
folder.
Double-click the Startup
folder.
Click the LaserJet Director
icon one time to highlight.
Select Delete
from the File
menu.
Close all the windows and restart the computer.
Microsoft® Windows 98/Me/XP
Click Start
then Run
.
Type msconfig
in the text box and click OK
.
Click the Startup
tab.
Remove the check from the box to the left of LaserJet Director.
Click Apply
then select OK
(Win 98/ME) or Close
(XP).
Close all the windows and restart the computer.
HP LaserJet Director Toolbar
Click the Customize
button on the HP LaserJet Director Toolbar.
Click the Monitor Device
tab.
Remove the check from the Use the director to monitor actions on the device
check box.
Click OK
to confirm.
Click Apply
and then OK
to save the setting.
Enable LaserJet Director
Select Start
, Programs
, and then HP LaserJet 3200
(or 3300) from the computer desktop.
Click HP LaserJet Director
